What lessons lengths do you recommend?

Frequently Asked Questions
|
Since each student learns a bit differently, the best lesson length really
depends on that individual student.
The lesson length we most commonly recommend is 45 minutes.
Depending on the following factors, minutes may be added or subtracted to
that lesson time to better fit the student.
Age: Younger students (ages 4-7) may find a slightly shorter lesson length
(30-35 minutes) a better fit. Teenagers and adult students may find a
slightly longer lesson length (50-60 minutes) a perfect fit.
Skill level: As a student progresses, a longer lesson may be a huge benefit!
A more advanced student will be learning more in depth musical concepts
which may require more time
Instrument: Certain instruments benefit greatly from a longer lesson. For
example voice lessons are usually a 45 minute minimum due to the warm
up and technique exercises that need to be performed to prepare the
student's voice for each lesson.
The student's teacher will be a wonderful guide to adjusting the lesson as a
student progresses. If you ever want to adjust your lesson length, we will
work with you to find the lesson length that best suits your needs.
